turning back the clock with sculptra
Looking your age is now optional thanks to Sculptra – our injectors’ favorite secret weapon to aging backwards. We love it because it gives a youthful glow and a beautiful overall improvement that isn’t obvious – others can’t quite figure out what exactly you did to look so refreshed! It’s perfect for those who want a treatment that is very natural looking, or to use as a foundation below filler for a holistic rejuvenation.
What is Sculptra?
Although an injectable, Sculptra is an entirely different product than hyaluronic acid filler. It harnesses your body’s own power to produce collagen in the skin and add volume – with results that are slow, gradual, and natural.
Collagen is a protein that provides structure and support to the skin, helping it to stay firm and youthful-looking. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, which can lead to sagging skin, wrinkles, and fine lines. Sculptra works by injecting small amounts of poly-L-lactic acid into the skin, which triggers the body's natural collagen production process. Over time, as new collagen forms, the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking.
Who is a candidate for Sculptra?
Almost any patient over the age of 30 can benefit from at least 1 vial of Sculptra – especially once you’ve noticed volume loss, nasolabial folds, and/or decreased skin elasticity.
What can I expect from the treatment?
Sculptra appointments last about an hour and are usually injected with a mix of needle and cannula after numbing. You may look the same right after – this is to be expected as it takes weeks for the magic to happen. You will see gradual results within 6-8 weeks that continue to improve over time, and the effect will last up to 2 years. After treatment, you will be instructed to massage the area 5 times per day for 5 minutes for 5 days.
